4th of July

This 4th of July we went to my parents house to do fireworks. This is how Jackson celebrated.
My Aunt Gerri has this big water slide and we had that at my moms. The kids loved it. Beck had no fear and did it a lot. Camden went a few times, but was more scared. Emery went one, she liked going on it but didn't do it again.

Cam liked the swing a lot more.

We had our nephew Greyson come with us and I think he had a lot of fun. He is around Keagan's age, so they played well together. The older kids would try tricks off of the slide.

This was more the size of slide Emery liked.

My mom has strawberry plants that the kids love to pick. They kids saw a few and had to get them. Cam went right in the middle to find his.

Beck likes to pick and eat.

Emery likes to pick them, but she doesn't always get the red ones.

I personally don't like fireworks. I still hate to hold the sparklers, but the kids had no fear this year. The only bad this was I had Jackson laying by me on a blanket and for some reason the kids just had to come and show me their sparkler.

This was Beck's ice cream. This is what happens when you don't watch a 5 year old when he has chocolate sauce. Oh and he ate about 3 bites and was done.

Grandpa was in charge of the sparklers. Can you tell what all the kids liked?

Fireworks just seemed a lot brighter, longer, louder and cooler when I was a kid. All the kids sat at the edge of the grass and handed Uncle Paul the firework they wanted to be lit next. They may have had more fun doing that then watch the actual fireworks. This was the final one and it was called Jelly Beans. All the younger kids were disappointed that they didn't get actual jelly beans with it.

All in all it was a really good day and the kids had so much fun they went right to sleep and didn't hear the other fireworks going off till 2 AM.
