Relay for Life

This weekend was Relay for Life and there was a Barnes team. Cancer is never a word anyone wants to hear ever and having 3 diagnoses of it in the past 5 years and two in the past year in the Barnes family, it really raises your awareness to it and makes you want to really work to help find a cure. We went to the open ceremonies where they read off the names of those who have survived caner and who are still fighting. It was awesome to see the support that everyone had for one another there. I also loved how great the excitement was for each survivor there, whether it was 20 years of 20 days.  All of the grand kids had on shirts showing their support. Kyler was excited to be there.
Camden in his shirt.
After they read off the survivors names they do a survivor walk. This is one of my favorite pictures. All the kids are grand kids that were so excited to be able to walk with Grandma and Grandpa Barnes and Uncle Josh.

Grandma Barnes is still fighting, Uncle Josh finished treatments Monday and Grandpa Barnes has been cancer free for 5 years. We love them all and pray that the years cancer free just keep going up and that they know we are here to support them.
