The boys had their first soccer game yesterday. It's so nice to not be on the field with them and that they actually get to play a game. Their coach is the only one on the field with them. They were really excited at the beginning of the game and slowly wore out by the end. It's funny to see all these 5 year olds play. They don't have a grasp on the concept of it yet and most aren't competitive either. Cam and Beck both wanted to be goalies for some reason, although they don't have them in soccer this young.
Camden chew his nails and shirt most of the game. He is the smallest one on his team.
It's hard to see but that's Beck going in to kick the ball! They both got it a few times, but they would kick it once then leave the ball. We need them to understand you stay with the ball until you score.
A lot of the times the kids just wanted the ball, so they would take it from their own teammates also.
Cam was a good cheerleader. I'm pretty sure here he is cheering for a goal... that the other team got. Like I said, they aren't too competitive.
Soccer is about a month long of games and practices. So far they like it, and it's good seeing them get out and play a sport. They already are asking to do basketball and football too.
